TankAware was created to address a persistent gap we saw firsthand: organizations responsible for fuel storage and regulated assets were relying on disconnected tools, manual processes, and institutional knowledge to manage high-risk operations. These approaches made compliance harder than necessary and increased environmental and operational risk.
By combining decades of field experience with modern cloud technology, TankAware delivers a purpose-built Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) designed specifically for fuel storage and compliance-driven operations. Our platform helps organizations centralize records, standardize inspections, and maintain clear visibility into asset condition and regulatory status—without adding complexity.

(Sutherland Excavating), where he has spent years leading complex environmental, fuel storage, and remediation projects in highly regulated environments. With deep hands-on experience managing petroleum storage systems, spill response, and compliance-driven operations, Blake brings real-world operational insight to TankAware’s vision and strategy. His leadership ensures the platform is grounded in the practical realities faced by governments, contractors, and industrial operators—bridging the gap between field operations and modern digital systems to improve accountability, safety, and environmental protection.
Stacey Sutherland
Chief Financial Officer
Stacey Sutherland serves as Chief Financial Officer of TankAware and is also an executive leader at Sutherland Excavating, where she oversees financial management, governance, and operational accountability. With extensive experience managing the financial complexities of regulated, project-based industries, Stacey brings a disciplined, sustainability-focused approach to TankAware’s growth. Matthew Coull
Customer Success Coordinator
Matthew Coull is a Customer Success Coordinator at TankAware and a member of the Sutherland Excavating team, where he brings firsthand experience from compliance-driven, operational environments. In his role at TankAware, Matthew works closely with customers to support onboarding, training, and day-to-day platform use—helping ensure inspections, records, and workflows are managed effectively.
